At the beginning of December in the government were held a competition of the winner “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2017“ award ceremony, where a golden medal was presented to representatives of JSC “Korgas“. This year the company introduced the project "Implementing innovative lighting solutions in "Circle K Lithuania" gas station network." The purpose of this project was to install innovative lighting solutions throughout JSC "Circle K Lithuania" gas stations and within their territory network, needed to improve lighting quality and to reduce costs for maintenance of lighting installation, also to save the energy of electricity. Totally new installed or replaced by new ones: 8400 pcs. luminaries in Lithuania, 6700 pcs. luminaires in Latvia, 4300 pcs. luminaires in Estonia. Mostly were used the newest lighting industry leaders “CREE“ products. After implementation of the project were improved the overall quality of the lighting system of the gas stations and their areas was improved territory; the modern lighting system has improved the visual attractiveness of gas stations, minimized lighting system maintenance costs decreased electricity consumption.
Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis personally congratulated Kęstutis Zdanavičius Managing Director of JSC "Korgas" the winner of the “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2017“ award ceremony and he was pleased with the innovative, successful decisions of other tenderers. The evaluation of the applications was attended by a specially formed professional commission of its field, consisting of: the Department of Standardization, State Food and Veterinary Service, National Food and Veterinary Risk Assessment Institute, Environmental Management and Audit Institute, State Non-Food Products Inspection, Ministry of Agriculture, State Public Health Services, Kaunas University of Technology, Light Industry Centre, Kaunas and Vilnius colleges experts from individual industry and business associations.
