SHORT HISTORY

The picturesque Trakų Vokė Manor park was established in 1884, reconstructed in 1898-1900 according to the project of the French landscape architect Édouard François André (1840-1911). The architecture of buildings is characterized by a variety of stylistic forms of the historicist period. The manor ensemble harmoniously combines neoclassicism, neobaroque, neogothic, as well as folk architectural traditions.
After the death of J. Tiškevičius, the estate passed to his son Jonas (1867-1903), and later to his young children. The Second World War disrupted the sequence of succession. When the war started, the paintings, furniture, and other valuable items of the Trakai Vokė Manor were looted.
