BEFORE THE RENEWAL
Before the renovation, the Kena and Vaidotai railway stations were illuminated with metal halide luminaires, which required frequent maintenance and periodic replacement. Some parts of the area were not sufficiently evenly lit, the light spectra differed. The level of electricity consumption of the old luminaires was 410 kW/h.
One of the tasks was to reduce electricity costs in order to make the railway infrastructure as polluting as possible. There were complex challenges in designing the new LED lighting system in the station area - the new luminaires had to be installed to adapt to the current situation, on the existing supports, without changing the height and location of the supports.
