“Gate of Dawn” Garden

The Carmelite Monastery “Gate of Dawn” Garden – where history meets professional lighting!

In the very heart of Vilnius Old Town, the reborn Carmelite Monastery “Gate of Dawn” Garden has been opened. This is a sacred place, part of the shrine, intended for rest, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
The garden stretches along Vilnius’ old defensive wall, dating back to the 16th century and featuring Gothic and Renaissance elements. It is a unique example of defensive architecture in Lithuania, a fragment of which has survived to this day.

Our specialists carefully designed the garden’s lighting, selecting the highest quality iGuzzini and NERI luminaires. These solutions create a safe environment during nighttime.
  • Facade lighting: iGuzzini LineaLuce recessed into the pavement and Luce&Light Intono 2.2 wall fixtures.
  • Defensive wall: highlighted with iGuzzini Light Up in-ground luminaires.
  • Terrace accents: directional spotlights iGuzzini Palco InOut and Luce&Light Ginko 1.0.
  • Pathways: illuminated with iGuzzini Walky and iWay fixtures.
  • Area lighting: elegant NERI Nebula luminaires on tall poles.

The new lighting allows visitors to rediscover the architecture – light reveals the monastery’s details, emphasizes the courtyard’s structure, and creates a cozy, magical atmosphere. Now the historic monastery courtyard shines in the evenings with special charm, highlighting the beauty of architectural details and greenery, and offering visitors a warm, enchanting experience.
