SIA Getliņi EKO is a company that manages the largest municipal solid waste landfill in the Baltic States, Getliņi. The landfill is one of the most modern landfills in Europe. It is currently being developed as a modern and safe waste recycling center.
The main goal of SIA Getliņi EKO is to ensure modern, safe and efficient management and disposal of municipal solid waste.
In cooperation with JSC Korgas, were selected and installed fans of the world-famous manufacturer Sodeca (Spain), which play an important role in the waste recycling process.

Unprocessed waste is stored in safe, environmentally closed biodegradation chambers, protected from the effects of air or rainwater.
The landfill gas generated in the chambers is transferred to the Getliņi power unit, then burned in six internal combustion engines and converted into energy - electricity and heat. The obtained heat is used in SIA "Getliņi EKO" greenhouses, where are grown tomatoes, cucumbers and flowers.
