Reconstruction of the square was carried out by SBA company Urban Inventors. In cooperation with JSC Korgas, has been installed modern square lighting.
The architectural concept of Vienybė Square was created by the international architecture and design company 3Deluxe. The architectural concept of Vienybės Square won the highest evaluation in the international competition "GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2019". The project was recognized in the winning category "Urban Space" by an international jury of famous architects and designers.
This project also became the winner of the international competition "IF DESIGN AWARD 2021", in which the commission awarded an award not only for the architectural idea, form, functionality. Vienybės Square received the most points for its role as a citizen-filled city space recognized for mobilizing residents, business and thus fulfilling its social purpose. The project implemented in Lithuania received such recognition for the first time in history.
